New-generation polyester (non-woven) fabrics were manufactured with the Thermo-Bond method, yielding hydrophobic, oleophobic, aluminium anti-static, e-PTFE (Teflon) coatings (resistance to moisture, overheat, flame and impact) for various applications. Highly preferred over conventional needle felts thanks to their pleating capability, these filters offer many advantages. In systems designed with polyester (non-woven) filters, machine size is minimized in favour of an expanded filtration volume.
